Group Manager of Digital Banking Channels IBTECH A.S.


Unal Sezer is currently responsible for digital banking channels (internet & mobile banking), chatbots, open banking and corporate digital transformation teams.

He has more than fifteen years of IT experience, especially in the banking and finance industry. He completed his undergraduate education in the Department of Computer Engineering in 2003. He has completed master’s studies on artificial intelligence in 2007. Between 2003 and 2011 he had worked as an application development consultant at Sabanci Group. In 2011 he took part as a software team leader at QNB Finansbank internet banking, call center channel projects and internet and call center channels which were first branchless banking in Turkey.

Currently, he is working as a group manager of internet and mobile banking channels at QNB Finansbank / IBTECH. He had previously spoken at IFINTEC Finance Technologies Conference, IDC IoT & Analytics, BigData and Cognitive/AI Services Conference, GDG, academic conferences, university social programs, etc. Also, he is a columnist at technology magazines (FintechTime, BTHaber, TechInside) and he is also coaching voluntarily to start-up companies in the IT sector. He is still mentoring 70+ senior software engineers and analysts.

He is also an AI consultant at Pearson Professional Programs.
