Tina Balzli leads the Banking, FinTech & Blockchain practice of PwC Legal Switzerland.

She is a highly dedicated Swiss and internationally trained Attorney-at-law and certified Swiss Fund & Asset Management Officer. Before joining PwC, she practiced for more than 10 years as a banking and financial markets specialist with major leading Swiss law firms. Prior to this, she worked for a financial institution in Hong Kong and acted as a research and teaching assistant at the Chair of Civil and Commercial Law at the University of Freiburg i.Ue. (Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Peter Gauch und Prof. Dr. Hubert Stöckli). Tina further was a visiting researcher at the Max-Planck-Institute for Comparative and International Private law in Hamburg.

Her practice specializes in banking, insurance, financing, capital markets, mergers & acquisitions, general corporate and commercial matters as well as internal investigations. She has an extensive track record of advising leading Swiss and foreign financial institutions and am excellently acquainted with the Swiss banking industry. She represents clients in proceedings before the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA supports financial institutions in complying with their diverse regulatory duties and advises on the structuring, issuance, listing, and marketing of diverse financial products, including the development of products and services in the FinTech space. Furthermore, she regularly acts as lead lawyer for a wide range of financial industry related contracts and transactions, including initial coin offerings (ICOs) and security token offerings (STOs).

Tina is the author of various publications (books and articles) on a broad range of legal and regulatory topics related to commercial law in general and financial market services. She regularly speaks at conferences on these topics.
