R. Erdem Erkul (Ph.D.), Director of Public Sector and Investments at Microsoft Turkey, Vice President of Council of European Professional Informatics Societies (CEPIS) in Brussels. He is also an entrepreneur. He started his academic career at Hacettepe University, Turkey. Department of Political Science and Public Administration in the year 2003.

In 2005, he established He is also the editor of this web site. R.Erdem Erkul who has publications and studies on e-government, Public Administration, Strategic Management, Public Policy.

Erkul's Ph.D. from Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Public Administration. Erkul conducted research at National Center For Digital Government, ( Which was established at Harvard University in 2002 in the USA ) with Prof. Jane Fountain as a Doctoral Research Fellow in 2008-2009 Academic Year.

Erkul, Awarded a certificate of completion for the Innovation for Economic Development Program, June 2013, Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Executive Program. When he was Harvard, he studied Public Policy, Innovation & Entrepreneurship. He was a member of the Executive Board and Vice President of the Turkish Informatics Association between 2011-2015 March. He is an editor at Informatics Magazine of the Turkish Informatics Association ( TBD ). Member of Executive Board of Turkish Informatics Foundation.

He was a member of the EU Commission Informatics Portal-Informal Expert Committee btw 2010-2015 April. Erkul is a member of Turkish American Scientists-Scholars Association. He has worked as Public Affairs Lead of Microsoft Turkey between 2010-2013. After this role, he has worked as Regional National Plan Director at Microsoft Middle East & Africa Headquarters in 2013-2014. He worked at Samsung as Director of Public Sector and External affairs between 2014 to 2018.
