Prof. Dr. Fabian Schär is the Credit Suisse Asset Management (Switzerland) Professor for Distributed Ledger Technology and Fintech at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Basel. In addition, he is the Managing Director of the Center for Innovative Finance at the University of Basel. His research focus is on the potential and applications of blockchain.
He co-authored several publications, including the bestselling book «Bitcoin, Blockchain und Kryptoassets», has been involved in numerous blockchain projects and is a regular speaker at conferences, such as the G20 Global Financial Stability Conference 2018. Moreover, he holds various board positions and has several years of professional experience in the financial industry.
