Leah Wald is a development economist, technology entrepreneur and financial analyst with 11 years of financial and business strategy experience and a demonstrated ability to work with teams who have closed on multi-million dollar transactions.

She is currently a Partner at Lucid Investment Strategies, an asset management firm with over $350 million AUM, and she launched their Bitcoin investment arm and hedge fund. She is a Bitcoin blockchain and financial technology expert and speaks at conferences worldwide. She believes in the future of Bitcoin and is proud to work with her partner D. Tyler Jenks to provide investment strategies across all asset classes including the wild world of cryptocurrency markets. Immediately prior to joining Lucid, she worked for a Canadian licensing company leading a team as the VP of Strategy.

She began her career at 19, working at the World Bank in the Africa Region reporting directly to the former Vice President of the Africa Region, Oby Ezekwesili. After completing her Master of Science in Management from IE Business School at 21, she worked as a financial analyst reporting directly to the CEO to develop investment strategies for two of the world's top-performing multi-billion dollar asset managers on Japan, Asia, Middle East energy, and global macro strategy. She specialized in equity trades as well as M&A and LBO opportunities rooted in macroeconomic trends and fundamental analysis. She additionally worked as a deal sourcing consultant for three venture capital firms focusing on FinTech investments.

She co-founded Veterati, a mentorship platform connecting unemployed and transitioning US veterans to mentors to secure meaningful careers and served as a founding economic advisor to Naadam Cashmere to build their development fund in Mongolia assisting the nomadic goat herders.

She has applied social entrepreneurship to help goat herders in Mongolia, social entrepreneurs in Washington, D.C. as well as to first-time businesswomen in India. She is a contributing writer for Forbes where she writes the column "Tales From the Front Lines of Female Entrepreneurship".
