Jordi Puigneró i Ferrer

Jordi Puigneró i Ferrer started his professional career at the Deutsche Bank computer department in Frankfurt, where he worked as an analyst-programmer (1997-2001). In 2001 he joined IBM-Barcelona as a senior consultant and head of computer projects and new technologies.

At the institutional level, in September 2005 he took office as a councilor for Sant Cugat City Council where he performed until 2013, when he assumed the responsibility of being Deputy Mayor for Governance, Security, Mobility and Technology. During this municipal period, he was a member of the Board of Directors of LocalRet and the Catalan municipal consortium of the Information and Knowledge Society (2007-2013).

From November of 2013 Jordi directed the ICT policies of the Government of Catalonia, first as Director General of Telecommunications and Information Society, and since February 2016 as Secretary of Telecommunications, Cybersecurity and Digital Society of the Government of Catalonia. During this period, as the person in charge of the policies of Cybersecurity of Catalonia, he was also president of the Information Security Center of Catalonia (CESICAT).

On June 2, 2018, he took office as the Minister of Digital Policies and Public Administration of the Government of Catalonia.
