Haymans Fung has always been driven by passion, new challenges and making a difference. She is the CMO of Sun Life Hong Kong and she loves what she does. While emerging technology provides opportunities for traditional insurers to modernize and reinvent themselves, it also forces us to respond to new sources of competition that focus on unmet consumer demand, bringing down cost, and providing new services. In her current role, she is responsible for the strategy and execution of Brand and Marketing, CXD, Digital Distribution and Digital Transformation of the company. With the Chief CX and Digital Officer and Director of Digital Distribution reporting to her, they work closely together to ensure a delightful, efficient and competitive omnichannel experience for their clients and advisors.

She started her career in advertising. She worked 15 hours a day on average for many years but it was totally worth it. She was lucky to have managed some of the world’s most powerful brands namely HSBC, Nike, Coke, P&G, Marriott Hotel Group, Loreal, Emirates, Unilever, and e-Bay. The campaigns that she worked on won numerous marketing awards, they include HKMA, Effie Award, Markies and Marketing Excellence Award.

The entrepreneur spirit in her channeled through opening her own boutique advertising agency, she learned a lot and the biggest lesson was finding the right business partner, be forever hungry and always be prepared for opportunities. She returned to the corporate world after 3 years of being her own boss.

She is passionate about the insurance industry. She believes in the social value of insurance in society i.e. efficiently protecting individuals and families through innovative risk management techniques, and relieving the burden from the government and providing comfort to individuals by providing safe, effective and affordable pension savings and convert pension savings into retirement income.
