He started his career with a group of friends that founded a startup that would become the largest internet company in Latin America, Terra, present in 14 countries, and with more than 100 million people per month in 2012.
From 2012 to 2016, he was with Walmart.com where he helped to build from the scratch the Brazilian eCommerce operation, and led it to be one of the top three e-commerce players in the country. In the United States, Fernando and his team recreated all aspects of the shopper’s journey. They doubled the eCommerce gross merchandise value and positioned Walmart.com as the second most trafficked eCommerce site in the U.S. in 2015 and 2016.
In July 2018, he joined ipsy, a company with a passionate, talented team that, together with its powerful community is changing the face of the beauty industry at a massive scale. ipsy works with more than 8,000 creators and reaches 20 million individuals every month through its social media channels. ipsy engages its community through the Glam Bag, a highly personalized subscription service that fuels trial and education for more than 3 million subscribers monthly and has recently launched an e-commerce marketplace. Their mission is to inspire individuals around the world to express their unique beauty.
